Idhammar OEE Improvement Agenda
"We use the module to track safety and quality actions, as well as to drive plant improvements. The targets we set can be segregated into defined categories, such as direct energy impact and can be clearly monitored using highly visible traffic light controls. This means that senior managers can see at a glance when an improvement project is behind schedule, if the traffic light has gone through amber to red, the manager knows a key milestone has been missed and can take appropriate action.'

Idhammar's Improvement Agenda - making action unavoidable

Having an industry standard measurement in place to gauge how well you’re doing is important, but it’s what improvement teams do with the information that counts. Establishing priorities and dealing with them couldn’t be easier if you’ve got the right system in place to facilitate change.

Part of the best-practice ‘Accountability’ process measure, prioritise, allocate, resolve) is to review the ‘Top 5’ losses and assign each of them to the individual best able to resolve them. Each time a review session identifies what needs to be done, the tasks are recorded for each participant. Figures for the costs and savings of resolving the loss can be included along with target completion and review dates, so that progress is tracked and recorded accurately.

Whilst the CI teams and front line managers need to see the OEE and loss details, more senior managers can just review the improvement traffic lights to check their teams are making progress and are on target. More importantly, they can check at a glance to see if there are any recent issues without an improvement plan.

Idhammar OEE’s unique fully integrated Improvement Agenda provides a foundation for essential loss management strategies. Measuring and analysing OEE is only the first step in the process, the Improvement Agenda helps to structure objectives, steps and flags to plan, monitor, and encourage progress.
