Stock Control & Purchasing
Effective stock control presents a significant time and cost savings opportunity with effective CMMS implementation resulting in between a 20 and 30 percent reduction in inventory valuation. Better inventory management eliminates stock outs (with automatic re-ordering) and minimises disruption and downtime with less time required at the stores counter.
Stock Control Module
The Idhammar MMS stock control module delivers a vital engineering view on spares and stock management to provide reliable stock records, improved service, compliance with quality standards, clearer accountability for parts usage, and more accurate budget forecasts. The stock control module identifies all materials either held in stock or identified as being part of a non-stock catalogue. Stock transactions (reservations, withdrawals, returns, balance adjustments, scrappings, back-orders, relocations, etc.) are recorded and replenishment stock can be automatically re-ordered if required. Stock checking is undertaken using either printed reports or hand held barcode readers.
Purchasing Module
Requisitions, purchase orders, deliveries, returns, invoices and credits will be managed by the Idhammar MMS Purchasing module. User restrictions can be applied within the system to allow only users who are so authorised to complete each step in the purchasing cycle. Purchase order formats can be adjusted locally to meet individual customer demands and either printed or emailed.
